In the City: Mezcalito’s

I am super excited to share with you a new restaurant that I visited last week. I love finding restaurants with amazing food, drinks and service and this visit proved to be a winner in my professional opinion.

Mezcalito’s Cocina and Tequila Bar in Grant Park totes a wide variety of tequila options and delicious food. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos and Don Juan Margarita. Both were ¡delicioso!

I learned so much from the bartender during my visit. First, I found out that this restaurant used to be an airplane hangar. She even found the picture of the property in its original state. How cool is that!

Today, we can enjoy this converted piece of property to create memories and connect with friends and family.

Then she told me about the infused concoctions on the counter. The most memorable was Devils water – tequila infused with peppers. It is super spicy. People enjoy it in a Devils margarita. I won’t be trying that but thought it was interesting. Oh and the peppers are grown on site. I thought that was super cool!
