CLS Attends Punany Poets Event

A couple weeks ago, CLS had the opportunity to attend the romantic comedy event, Punany Poets.  Jessica Holter, founder and CEO of the Punany Project, began the show with a poetic introduction.  Up next, we were provided an introduction to the show by Dheeaba, the longest running member of the Punany Project.  Dheeaba helped audience members relax a bit and encouraged us to spread open our consciousness to the journey that would be taking place that evening.

Next up was sexual health educator, Nyrobi Moss.  Dr. Moss was very interactive in her approach to encourage adults to maintain open communication as it relates to sex.  She stressed the importance of individuals having conversations with their partners regarding sexual health and taking action to ensure that both parties remain free of sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) and/or reduce transmission of STI’s.  She even exposed audience members to a dental dam – a very important barrier method when performing cunnilingus .  Many adults are unaware of these types of barrier methods of protection which are very important in reducing one’s risk of sexually transmitted infections (STI’s). Theresa the Songbird, shared her artistry with audience members as well. Afterwards, we heard poetry from Novacane.  She shared her words of wisdom with the crowd about how we must be responsible for our sexual power.

A unique feature of this event is that couples were able to participate in some fun demonstrations.  There was a kissing competition and couples lap dance.  Audience members received a tutorial on making some minor adjustments to a classic sex position (woman on top) to create mind-blowing orgasms.  We even enjoyed a burlesque performance by Quan-Michelle.

This engaging and educational event was a delight to experience as there was an air of openness to sexual expression.  This event was a wonderful blend of artistry and education.  Hats off the the artists for their work and commitment to sexual expression!
