Beauties and Books: An Evening with Stacey Covington-Lee

“We shared stories that demonstrated the strength and courage of women that learn from  experiences of the past and forge their own path.”

Saturday night was an amazing evening full of adult conversation and fun!  Several ladies gathered at B. Fulton’s Beauty Lounge to meet author, Stacey Covington-Lee and get a sneak peek into some of her novels.

The evening started off with some refreshments, introductions and light discussion. Stacey posed the question to the group on the topic of whether a man can thrive without a woman.  We heard some interesting perspectives on the topic.

Once everyone got settled, Stacey read some excerpts from her novels, “Hate the Way He Loves Me”, “When Love Ain’t Enough” and “Bitter Taste of Love”. We followed up with some open dialogue about relationships, love and men.  There were some powerful moments of inspiration in the discussion.  We shared stories that demonstrated the strength and courage of women that learn from experiences of the past and forge their own path.

Stacey gave away some amazing gifts.  One winner went home with a gift basket full of goodies (wine, robe, Chick-fil-A gift card, chocolate and wine glass).  A perfect combination of goodies that can accompany a great novel.  We even participated in a mannequin challenge (my first one).  It was an awesome evening!
