Happy Birthday to CLS!

Last year when I started the blog, I was preparing to go through a divorce. I had just truly become a single mother and was starting to acknowledge and accept that the life I thought I had was not real.

After agonizing and sitting on all of it all alone, I called a few of my closest friends. Friends that I knew would have no judgment and would be supportive and helpful. They were there at 2 am just like they were at 5 pm.  They didn’t tell me what they thought I wanted to hear. They didn’t give me politically correct answers. They were honest. And talking about my situation allowed them to open about their own.

And I realized something. We all had been going through things, even though we were constantly in touch with one another, and yet we still had not disclosed some of the things that bothered us or stressed us most.

Then I started to think about all of the women who did not have that friend that they could depend on. The ones who did not have someone who they could call at 3 am.  Who did that woman depend on?

So I started writing. And CLS was born. I wanted to create a safe space for women to discuss all of the things that affect us and that we care about. And in the year that we’ve been published, it has exceeded my dreams. There is a dynamic group of women writing and contributing. We’ve been able to attend some awesome events and most of all, we are able to have a place where there is a spectacular synergy and nothing but Girl Power.

I thank each and every one of you that constantly read and share our posts. Your support is appreciated and welcome.

We have more wonderful things coming from the blog this year in 2017. Please join us!
