Women- Light, Life, Magic

“But that could be me dreaming. That could be me and my ideas and my love for women and all things feminine. That could be me believing in our power.”

I found this photo on Instagram and was immediately captivated.

I sent it to my closest girlfriends with a message:

Just in case you forgot

You are a woman

That means you have power beyond measure

You are capable of all things

You are love

You are life

You are light

You are magic

I stared at that picture for about thirty minutes. Captivated. I wondered if it moved other people the way that it moved me. I immediately felt such feminine spirit from it. And the appreciation and admiration for the feminine spirit.

So I posted it on social media, and of course, there were a few men that took it literally (poor things!)  But the women understood the power of the image.

In a world where men are not valued- especially black men, we as women need to step in to our power. We are the backbones, the support. If we pick ourselves up and understand how to walk in love, quite possibly, the world could be a different place.

But that could be me dreaming. That could be me and my ideas and my love for women and all things feminine. That could be me believing in our power.

A power that should not be abused or thrown around haphazardly. We need to understand that strength can be quiet and that strength is not always aggressive.

We need to understand the ties between the mind, the soul, and the body. Understand your spirit. Acknowledge your connection to mankind. As a woman, you are life.  There is a magic that comes with the sway of your hips and the way that you hold your head high. There is light in your smile, and life in your spirit.

You are magic.

And don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.
